Design work for the James River Green Building Council (JRGBC) was recognized and published internationally in
Big Book of Green Design
authored by Anthony and Suzanna Stephens and published by HarperCollins Publishers. Authors received over 2,000 design submissions for the book and only 230 pieces were selected.
2009 Style Weekly Top 40 Under 40
John O’Neill was selected to the 2009 Style Weekly’s Top 40 Under 40 class as one of the areas young professionals that are making a difference in Richmond, Virginia. Each year, Style Weekly, Richmond’s alternative news publication for spotlighting the city’s culture, arts, opinion, and creative thought, selects a class of 40 young professionals under the age of 40 as people to watch based on their ongoing activities in their businesses, organizations and communities.

Thinkhaus logo designs for Boathouse Living and Wordplay are feature in Logolicious, a book regarding logo design, branding and merchandising. The book was written by Peleg Top and published by HarperCollins Publishers.

Thinkhaus' C.D. packaging for Beata E. Golec was published in The Big Book of Packaging, published by HarperCollins. The book displays high quality packaging design examples and devotes content to the subject of green packaging, showing designers and retailers how to package their products creatively, responsibly, and economically.
Get To Know The Team
John O’Neill, President
In 2009, O'Neill was named to Style Weekly's Richmond's Top 40 Under 40 as one of the young professionals working for social change in his community. The award highlighted his achievements for his business ownership as a person with cerebral palsy, his community involvement and for his advocacy to bring design awareness to Richmond. His design work has been awarded and published internationally in books regarding logo design, designing layouts and sustainability in graphic design. O'Neill currently serves as an adjunct graphic design professor at Virginia Commonwealth University where he teaches web design, design technology and imaging. He also teaches design at Virginia State University; a predominately black college, located in Ettrick, Virginia. He is also a journalist for RVANEWS.com, where you can find his work on social consciousness and business issues in Richmond. He served on the marketing committee of the James River Green Building Council.
John holds an MFA degree in Graphic Design from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. He graduated cum laude at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia with a BFA degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Photography. During 2001 and 2002, John served as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) Chapter in Richmond, Virginia.

Jill M. Kepler-Wagner, Communication Director, Design Director
Mrs. Kepler-Wagner has served as member for the Arts and Cultural Council of Greater Rochester, Christians in the Visual Arts (C.I.V.A), the Design Studies Forum associated with the College Arts Association and the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) of Upstate New York including status as board member in 2009.
In 2008 Kepler-Wagner was nominated for the Darlene E. McCown Faculty Service Award in recognition of outstanding service to others and extraordinary caring as a Professor of Graphic Design at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York.
Kepler-Wagner served as Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Robert’s Wesleyan College for three years; she developed the current curriculum that stresses community outreach. Previously she taught as an adjunct design professor for the following Colleges: Rochester Institute of Technology, University at Buffalo and SUNY Brockport. Currently she is working on a movie series focused on the history of design for on-line education.
Kepler-Wagner graduated with a Master of Fine Art degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Business from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Barton College (Atlantic Christian College) in Wilson, North Carolina in Visual Communication and Art Education.

Thinkhaus has a strategic creative partnership with Madison+Main, an advertising firm located in Richmond, Virginia that specializes in working with small businesses and organizations that have 1,500 or less employees. The firm was developed in 2005 with the mission to bring Madison Avenue ideas to Main Street. Madison+Main is now one of the top advertising firms known for assisting clients in using social media to develop relationships with the people that buy their products and services. The firm also has ongoing efforts of getting involved in the community by hosting networking events and social media seminars and for donating their services to social causes.
Thinkhaus and Madison+Main developed this partnership to add more value to companies and organizations who are aiming to build a strong brand message to increase their impact on their community.

Community Partners
Thinkhaus has a community partnership with The Conciliation Project (TCP), a creative social justice organization that uses theatre arts to include everyone in the dialogue on racism in America. TCP does this through six theatrical plays that uncover racism attitudes and behaviors towards different races and genders. After each performance TCP has a open forum with the audience about the topics and issues seen in the play. They also offer workshops and lectures for businesses and organizations to help them eliminate racial and cultural sterotypes in the workforce and in their communities.
Through this partnership Thinkhaus has ongoing support when consulting clients on how to craft marketing strategies that get results while bringing about new attitudes and behaviors in business and in society. TCP and Thinkhaus are both available for workshops and lectures regarding racial and cultural sterotypes in advertising and mass media.
